Terrain-referenced navigation
for denied environments

Project Taiga provides bounded absolute position estimation for aerial and ground platforms without reliance on GNSS. Using multimodal sensor inputs matched against preprocessed environmental models, the system determines platform position, orientation, and heading in real time.
Fusion with inertial sensors provides continuous navigation between terrain-referenced fixes, bounding drift across feature-sparse terrain. Designed from inception to run on low-power microcontroller hardware, the system enables low-cost mass production and straightforward integration into tactical platforms. Configuration variants range from miniaturized modules for small drones to high-altitude and long-endurance profiles.
Designed and validated in Finland for reliable all-season operation, including snow-covered terrain, low sun angles, dense canopy, and extended low-light conditions.

Embedded perception and
situational awareness

Project Kite provides detection, tracking, and classification of stationary and moving objects across visual and infrared modalities. Designed as a complementary capability to navigation, platforms first establish position integrity, then identify and characterize objects of interest.
Kite is engineered for deployment on microcontroller and edge-class hardware, enabling perception at SWaP levels compatible with small and medium tactical platforms. Models are developed and trained on Clausal’s dedicated European infrastructure.

Core capability — powering Taiga and Kite
Forge gives platform manufacturers the full development-to-deployment pipeline for custom embedded AI. Built on dedicated European compute, it takes models from training to field-ready embedded systems — on the hardware your platform already runs, entirely within EU jurisdiction.
The same infrastructure that powers Taiga and Kite is available for partner integration programs. From initial training through optimization and hardening, Forge handles every stage of the pipeline without data leaving European control.
